Hastings & St Leonards Cycling Club's Dan Henchy had a great start to his road race season taking 12th place in a 2nd / 3rd category race on Friday evening. Conditions were fine for the first of the Hove Park series on a closed off road circuit. Chris Watson was on top form in the 4th category race sprinting at the finish to take 4th place with Richard Pettit performing well on his debut as he came in 19th.
The club holds its first Wednesday evening time trial this week on the Broad Oak Brede circuit, meeting at 6.30pm just north of the Broad Oak crossroads for first rider off at 7.00pm. Club time trials are a great way to start competitive cycling whatever your ability.
