Around twenty five riders, splintered into smaller groups by a howling Westerly. We got some short spells going at the front for a while along Cooden Beach - always welcome in the teeth of a such a withering block wind, after a while it was back to a handful of strong lads taking longer pulls. Pace was tough enough to hang onto but still picked up at the end - with four of us going for the best interval before the stop - good fun.
I found it harder to keep up on return on fixed, sweeping up Spooky hill and rashly on to the front on the descent thereby using up all my spare spin. By Cooden beach I was watching the others shift into top gear and pull away with that 25mph plus wind at our backs. A fun, fast ride, see you next week.
