Ninfield Time Trial 16 may

Hello Folks

After two wet Wednesdays we finally had a dry, but cold, evening for the first of 4 events on the Ninfield circuit (sign on 6.30 for 7.00) and a turn out of 15 riders.

With the National 10 Championships on Sunday Pete Tadros had a good work out with 30:05 for the 14.1 miles.

Winner of the club event was Marc Townsend (34.46), with Malcolm Daly (36.05) second and Ivan Johnson (36.30) third on fixed after the new chain he fitted to his time trial bike caused problems with gear shifting and he did not have a new cassette to hand to sort it out in time.

It was great to have regular Rovers chain gangers John Cordner (35.48) and Slavomir Geisovic (sorry, cannot read the sign on sheet!) (35.54) ride the Hastings version of the circuit for the first time, and very quick too.
