It was warm and sunny for a change with three Hastings riders in the mix for the Eastbourne Duathlon. The 1.25k run along the sea front started at a furious pace with Jay coming into transition just ahead of Dave Dixon followed close by Steve Denny. Dave's greater experience showed and he was quicker changing shoes and first on the road. The road section took them over Beachy Head returning via East Dean and Birling Gap before the final run. All did extremely well and particularly in their age group. Final times were: Dave Dixon 1.2.21 (1st), Jay 1.3.43 (4th) and Steve 1.8.33 (3rd). Dan Henchy finished 4th overall with a superb 54.25.
